Composer, sound recordist, sonic explorer
Celeste is a Zimbabwean composer who works in film and media music and soundscape composition. She completed her Bachelor of Music in Composition at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, her Masters in Screen Scoring at Codarts in Rotterdam, and is now currently freelancing as a composer, researcher, and sound recordist in the Netherlands.Her style goes in-between textural and experimental, working a lot with location-based elements in her music and with natural recorded elements or homemade unique sounds that have a greater capability of connection. In her practice, she aims to create a space of curiosity, connection, and different perspectives with a little bit of sonic magic and imagination.

Resonant Cycles - Research Project
PD research project Finding one's voice in the Echo of a City explored the origins of the “voice”, what the voice means when
performing, exploring embodiment, instrument making, performing, researching, philosophy on the
origins of the voice, among many other learnt practices.
Multiplicity
Bringing sounds of the city of Rotterdam in
2025, through soundscape composition and baroque organ and choral performance, back in time to that of Hildegard, Jaquin, Dufay, Kassia, composers all between the years 1098-1562, forming a contemporary diptych of the city.
2775: Everything Sounds
2775 (Everything sounds) is a speculative soundwalk on the island of Brienenoord. It
explores the island in its dreamtime, an island of past and future worlds relating anew, the
island as part of a magical body of water.
